Ein neuer seidenbespannter Rahmen ist im Atelier fertig. Die stabile Seide aus der Plauener Seidenweberei wurde erst per Siebdruck bedruckt und dann auf einen bereits mit einem dicken Moltonstoff bespannten Rahmen gebracht. Der Moltonstoff nimmt den Staub auf und sorgt dafür, dass die Seide nicht so schnell verschmutzt.
Diese Wandarbeit ist ein Einzelstück und besteht aus vier Teilen. Sie wird in einem Vestibül einer Altbauwohnung hängen und die Besucher empfangen. Das Motiv für diese Seidenbespannung heisst Dompteur und Elefant und ist von einem Kissenmotiv auf das größere Format angepasst worden.

Studio View with Silk Frame

A new silk-stretched frame has been completed in the studio. The durable silk from the Plauen Silk Weaving Mill was first screen-printed and then mounted onto a frame already covered with thick molton fabric. The molton absorbs dust and helps keep the silk clean for longer.
This wall piece is a unique work, consisting of four parts. It will hang in the vestibule of a historic apartment, welcoming visitors. The motif for this silk stretch is called Tammer and Elephant and was adapted from a cushion design for the larger format.
