Elf Jahre lang stand Tuchdruck Jonas & Claußnitzer für handbedruckte Seidentücher in kleinen, künstlerisch gestalteten Editionen – mit viel Liebe entworfen und mit größter Sorgfalt in Dresden von Hand gefertigt. Anfang 2025 beenden wir dieses Projekt.

Was macht unsere Tücher besonders?
Sehr wichtig ist uns die künstlerische Freiheit im Entwurf. Dabei ergeben meine phanta­stisch-figurativen Motive und Irina Claußnitzers abstrakte Strukturen eine weit gefächerte Palette für das Angebot von Tuchdruck Jonas & Claußnitzer. Gedruckt wird per Hand im Siebdruckverfahren auf sehr hochwertige Seide, hauptsächlich Crêpe Satin. Die Farben trocknen matt auf dem glänzenden Material– so entsteht ein reizvolles Spiel aus Glanz und Tiefe.

Limitierte Kunstwerke zum Tragen
Jedes Tuch ist ein Unikat, jedes Stück Teil einer kleinen Edition von meist 20 bis 40 Exemplaren. Jedem Tuch liegt ein Kärtchen mit Seidenart, Motiv, Künstlerin und Editionsnummer bei – wie bei einer signierten Druckgrafik. Das Bedrucken der Tücher muss zu zweit erfolgen und erfordert hohe Konzen­tration, Präzision und Fingerspitzengefühl. Durch unsere Art des Druckens gleicht kein Tuch völlig dem anderen – feine Unterschiede machen jedes zu einem Unikat.

Wie es weitergeht
Auch wenn die Artist Editions auslaufen, bleibt unsere Werkstatt bestehen: Als Personal Editions können weiterhin maßgeschneiderte Tucheditionen (bis zu 50 Stück) beauftragt werden – etwa als besondere Geschenke, zu Jubiläen oder für Unternehmen, die etwas Einzigartiges suchen. For eleven years, Tuchdruck Jonas & Claußnitzer has stood for hand-printed silk scarves in small, artistically designed editions – lovingly created and carefully crafted by hand in Dresden. At the beginning of 2025, we will bring this project to a close.

What makes our scarves special?
Artistic freedom in design has always been of central importance to us. My fantastical figurative motifs and Irina Claußnitzer’s abstract structures together form a wide-ranging palette for the collections of Tuchdruck Jonas & Claußnitzer.
Each scarf is hand-printed using screen printing on high-quality silk, primarily crêpe satin. The colors dry with a matte finish on the glossy material – creating a fascinating play of shine and depth.

Limited wearable artworks
Every scarf is unique, each piece part of a small edition of usually 20 to 40 copies. Each comes with a card specifying the type of silk, motif, artist, and edition number – much like a signed art print. Printing the scarves is always a two-person process, requiring high concentration, precision, and finesse. Because of our printing method, no two scarves are ever exactly alike – subtle variations make each one a one-of-a-kind.

What comes next
Although our Artist Editions are coming to an end, our workshop will continue: with Personal Editions, it will still be possible to commission custom scarf editions (up to 50 pieces) – for example, as special gifts, for anniversaries, or for companies seeking something truly unique.
