I’m a sculptor, visual artist, craftswoman, designer – and at times, a reluctant entrepreneur. My journey began with a formal training in stone sculpture, followed by work in restoration, fashion, and costume design. Experience in the private sector and additional training helped sharpen my sense for feasibility and practical solutions. Equally formative was my fine arts degree at the Dresden University of Fine Arts. Exceptional mentors there encouraged bold artistic thinking and gave me the confidence to follow through with clarity and intention. I also built a broad repertoire of techniques and modes of expression – a foundation that remains essential to my creative process.
In my free art installations, I combine diverse methods such as silkscreen printing on various materials, scroll saw work, animation, drawing, and sculpture. While much of my work emerges in the quiet of my studio and is rooted in personal reflection, bybrittajonas opens this practice to collaboration. It’s a space where aesthetic expression and function meet – in objects, surfaces, and spaces designed with purpose and character.

The Story Within
I value the individuality of my designs. Clear figurative motifs meet abstract, ornamental forms with gently dissolving symmetry. Each piece holds a subtle narrative – drawn with fine lines or silhouettes – revealed only on second glance, quietly present without demanding attention.

The Things We Keep
Some objects go beyond function — they soothe, inspire, or comfort. I aim to create such pieces: lasting, personal, and meaningful. Thoughtfully designed, they invite connection and become cherished gestures — to keep, use, give, or pass on.

Silk as Canvas
A particular focus of mine is screen printing on silk, my primary material. This technique is ideal for creating small, exclusive editions. I produce hand-printed silk scarves and cloths, both as original creations and custom commissions for clients.
